Personal Information
Bart and his wife Alix have owned a home in Garland County District 1 since 2016. They are active volunteers on local boards and commissions as well as their church and other civic groups. They also assist our unhoused neighbors at local warming and cooling centers in times of extreme weather. Bart’s love of Hot Springs and the state of Arkansas are apparent in his service on the Hot Springs Planning Commission and as Treasurer on the board of Preserve Arkansas, a statewide nonprofit dedicated to preserving places important to Arkansas heritage. Bart hikes with his dog Bailey (one of four rescue dogs) on National Park trails and has been an avid SCUBA diver for over 45 years. He has visited over 35 countries, but he and Alix call Hot Springs and Garland County home since discovering our amazing natural environment and buying their historic home adjacent to Hot Springs National Park.
